Ever looked at the world and said, "Somebody should do something." Well, you are a somebody, so what can we do? Better Your Own World (BYOW) is a grassroots organization and event that happens on the small scale with potentially far-reaching responses and effects.
A.)Prior to a BYOW Party each person will generate one idea as to how we can better the world. Ideas should be approachable and easily implemented with a nominal--if any--cost.
B.)The BYOW host having the party will ask each person to present their idea of how to better the world. Two hours later, after exchanging theories and arguments, we will vote and decide whose idea will be championed.
C.) Send BYOW your information from the "Contact Us" page, and a representative will contact you with suggestions and timelines.
How could a group of 20 make a difference? Let us see. We might decide that chipping in $10 each for someone to pay their electric bill is the best idea we could divine. If this is the case, is this so bad? What if others decided to have the same type of party with the same theme? What if many different groups of people started to do this across the US and elsewhere?

BYOW began as a response to my good intentions and my lack of doing anything with them. Causes abound and it is overwhelming. If we are coming to a place and time in our history when the executing of altruism is imperative, it is seemingly now. Join and feel better about your world because you have made it so.
